The trends for bags and accessories, from fashion to creativity and sustainability

High fashion content, attention to detail and sustainability: these are the trends that emerge at Garda-bags, the new exhibition project for volume sector bags and accessories, on show at PalaVela in Riva del Garda.

The event showcases products from the world’s key manufacturing areas, including Italy, China, India and also the Arab Emirates, Poland, Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany and Portugal. Together with the more classic designs, with finishing touches amongst which woven details feature heavily, the new trends emerging for next season’s bags veer towards detail and a wide palette of colour , including purple, shocking pink, yellow, blue and red.

Alongside leather, we see more technical fabrics such as neoprene, which is offered in a format that is completely washable, by hand or in the washing machine, and which is used in different ways, from clutch bags to rucksacks, that can be adapted and personalised to suit the individual look.

For the summer season, there is no lack of beach bags with accessories that complete the total look: matching sandals, necklaces and bracelets, for example. Other materials featured include bamboo, transformed into elegant, rigid clutch bags and original baskets that echo the shape of fishermen’s bags.

Top of the list is the attention to the environment, for example, the accessories with a sustainable soul by Fenz Your Friends, DaLaLeo, VolverUp, B-Recycled and Embawo, companies from Trentino that form part of the special “Re-Fashion” project.
